In this episode of our special series on 12 lessons from 2024, we’re diving into lesson eight, reflecting on August.

I started the month in India, joining my private client Tricia on a yoga retreat in Rishikesh. And also setting a personal goal to generate $2,000 in passive income while largely offline - and it happened! Listen to the full story in the episode.

Other highlight for the month of August was working with a coach who helped me stay grounded through it all, and I kept reminding myself that slowing down now was paving the way for long-term success.

On a lighter note, I also reconnected with my love of fashion in August. Sharing little glimpses of my work-from-home outfits on Instagram started as a fun, creative outlet but quickly became a way to bring more authenticity into my brand. It’s a reminder that letting your personality shine, even in ways that feel unrelated to your business, can create meaningful connections with your audience.

The biggest takeaway from August: Big change requires patience and trust. Slowing down can be uncomfortable, but it’s often necessary to build something even better.

DECLUTTERING FOR GROWTH: Lesson 7 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 187

We are continuing our series on the 12 Lessons of 2024. 

This is Lesson 7, and July was a month of transition, reflection, and forward momentum.

I shared how July followed the challenging energy of June after my father’s passing. It was a productive work month where I refocused on my business after taking three weeks offline. 

I am sharing how my focus shifted to heavy decluttering both literally and energetically, eg, old ways of working, personal clutter, unhealthy habits, and even a close friendship. 

This process of release created space for what’s next, both in my business and life. I also launched two major projects and ended the month with a beautiful trip to India with my long-term client.

 It was a busy but transformative month that set the foundation for big changes to come.

Today, we’re diving into lesson six, which is definitely one of the heavier ones. June 2024 was a tough month for me - a time of deep loss but also profound lessons. 

As always, I’m sharing this with you because I believe there’s immense value in reflecting on our experiences, even the hard ones, and letting them guide our growth.

Experiencing the biggest loss of my life... June was one of the hardest times of my life, but I’m grateful I was able to step away from my business to be fully present for what mattered most - family.

Losing a parent is massive, and it shifts everything. But it also brought such deep connection with my family and a newfound clarity about what I want for my business. 

The lesson? Family is everything. And the highlight? Realizing that my business can keep going, even when I need to step away, and committing to creating more of that freedom.

LETTING GO: Lesson 5 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 185

In this episode of the Human Design for Marketing podcast, we dive into 5th of the 12 Lessons in 2024 series, reflecting on May.

May marked my final live launch for the Frequency Project this year, and I’d prepared meticulously for it, with high hopes + some good $$$ ad-spend. Well, listen to the full story in the episode, you might get a lesson or two as I did from this experience on dealing with the unmet expectations. Reality-check, yes!

Amidst the intensity of launch season, I attended the first Australian Human Design Conference, an event that reminded me of the power of showing up despite challenges. It was heartwarming to connect with so many people who had been following my work, yet the trip was cut short by a family emergency. This sudden shift brought clarity: no matter how important business feels, family and personal priorities will always come first.

Looking back, the biggest lesson May taught me was the importance of letting go of expectations and embracing the experiment.

In entrepreneurship, outcomes are never guaranteed, and placing too much weight on results can take a toll on our nervous system.

May served as a powerful reminder to focus on showing up, doing my best, and staying present, regardless of the highs and lows. I hope my reflections offer you some insight into navigating your own sales cycles and the balance between effort and surrender.

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER: Lesson 4 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 184

April: My birthday month!

It started with a van-life camping trip with my nieces, just a couple of hours south of Sydney, and it became one of the most fulfilling experiences of my year. A beautiful reminder that it's not the things we possess or the luxuries we own - it’s the connections we nurture and the moments we share that truly matter.

Turning 53:  This birthday was another opportunity to reflect on how far I’ve come. At 53, I feel more energized and aligned than ever- proof that it’s never too late to create a life filled with purpose and meaning. Sobriety, leaving corporate, and living authentically have all been significant steps on this journey.  

On the business side, I began working with a new business coach, kicking off a six-month container with an in-person retreat in Byron Bay.

I decided to invest in turning The Frequency Project into an evergreen offer shifting my focus from live launch model to a more sustainable business model.

A spontaneous “birthday bonanza” promotion brought in an additional $5K for the month. So all the lit-up creativity and community vibes.

ALIGNMENT: Lesson 3 of 12 Lessons from 2024 | Episode 183

In March, I took a hard look at my business model and how it was impacting my energy. Coming off the hustle of February, I realized that while my business was thriving financially, I was feeling burnt out. I had to ask myself: Is this sustainable, and am I truly lit up by what I’m creating?

March was the month of pivotal moves to get back into alignment. Especially, attending a business retreat in Byron Bay was an event that gave me clarity on how to shift my model and focus more on life-force energy as my primary metric of success. I also handed over significant parts of my YouTube channel operations to my senior VA, freeing up my time and reducing my stress.

Big lesson: When your energy feels drained or out of alignment, it’s time to pause, reevaluate, and make tough decisions - even if it means reworking what’s already "working."

RECALIBRATE: Lesson 2 of 12 Lessons from 2024 Series | Episode 182

February 2024 was a transformative month for my business as I moved back into action mode (after the holidays).

In this episode, I recount the steps taken to evolve the Frequency Project by introducing a mix of pre-recorded modules and live coaching calls, which allowed the program to scale while maintaining its transformative impact.

BUT it was also a time of hustle that felt out of alignment and while I honoured that with the reward of an offline retreat after the push, we will talk more about that in the coming episodes (it's been a big theme for me in 2024).

The big lesson: the importance of scheduling time to recalibrate and to celebrate your efforts

At first, my Gate 3 energy—the “difficulty at the beginning” archetype—reared its head, and I thought, Why does this always happen to me? But as I sat with it, I remembered what I’ve learned about my Human Design. The challenge of Gate 3 is chaos, but its gift is innovation, and that’s exactly what I leaned into.

Human Design meets AI, a love-hate journey | Episode 179

Welcome to Human Design for Marketing podcast!

In today's episode, I am diving into topic that sparks both fascination and friction for many of us, that is, AI!

The arch-journey I went through (I am assuming I am not alone in this) with the initial excitement about AI, then the frustration and resistance aka friction in using AI - to then coming back to accepting the innovative side of AI with curiosity and 'play' (hello my Gate 3).

Now, as a sacral being focused on doing work that feels aligned and fulfilling, AI felt like the ultimate collaboration partner - at first - ie, cost-efficient, fast, and able to handle tasks that otherwise felt draining. It was a game-changer for speeding up processes and taking some of the grind out of running a small business.

But on the flip side, I noticed a disconnect. The copy produced didn’t feel like my voice, which is a cornerstone of my brand and authenticity. As someone who loves writing and crafting content, relying on AI for this took some of the joy out of my creative process.

Well, this is the tension / friction I am exploring today and I am certain many business owners can relate to this. 

So let's find out how I have balanced things out and perhaps it will benefit you as spiritually attuned individuals to use AI in a way that honors your individuality while still reaping the benefits of this powerful tool - all in the spirit of co-creation and collective service.
